China Advances Rolling Mill Automation Usage
Fujian Nanping Aluminium, located in Nanping, China, has signed an agreement with industrial automation Services (IAS), to design, supply, and commission a new Level 1 Control System for hydraulic gap control, automatic gauge control, roll eccentricity control, and shape control, for a new four-high cold mill.
The cold rolling mill is being supplied by CNPT - a Chinese mill builder.The IAS achieva MILL AUTOMATION platform is an open architecture control system, which incorporates IAS' easy to maintain, graphical programming interface and takes advantage of IAS' considerable process know-how.
The scope of supply also includes new high precision ABB Solid Style Shape Roll, new USC Spray Headers with the capability of hot edge Sprays, and position transducers from Parkegate Engineering.
